Lampwork beads, vessels, and charms

Bracelets are made with my glass beads with silver added to space and set off the beads.

Glass bead bracelets are quite versatile and can be worn at any time, from formal occasions to everyday with jeans!

Clownfish

I like to make beads with this combination of colors – coral and copper green. They remind me of clownfish flitting in and out of the coral reefs. The glass beads have been etched so they have a matte finish and their shape matches the shape of the silver spacer beads. The catch is a handmade swan hook. Should fit wrists to 7-½"

Favorite Colors

I sat one day with these colors, which just happen to have been my favorites that day, and played with dots and combining the colors. I finally strung them up almost randomly and love the result. I hope you do too!

Gray Pop

This seems to be a very popular combination currently and the pop of yellow along with the neutral gray is soothing and exiting at the same time.

Happy Talk

This one just makes me happy! Love that “grizzly green,” as my grandmother used to call it, and the bi-colored blue petals with orange centers. The orange sponge coral spacers are the perfect match!

Lights in the Forest

This was a fun set to make. A little enamel, some swirls and lots of dots melted in. It reminded me a bit of a pond with lily pads floating on it, but then I looked at it again and saw lights shining through the limbs of the trees in a forest.

Moonstruck

The glass used to make these beads is called “Galaxy,” but I always think of moon glow as I am making them and when they come out of the kiln, I am always pleased with their milky, ethereal glow. Teamed with sparkling aurora borealis crystals and silver, this bracelet is just heavenly.

All sterling silver used to make this bracelet and the swan clasp is handmade.

Nebula

This bracelet is very similar to one that I wear almost every day. The beads are made by a somewhat complicated process that never turns out exactly the same way every time, but it always looks to me like some of the pictures that came back from space. Fine silver wire is laced around the outside and when it melts, it forms “stars” around the bead.

I make the helter-skelter wire beads that serve as spacers from sterling wire as well as the “S” clasp that holds everything together.

This bracelet should fit up to a 7-½" wrist,

PA Prim

I sometimes make beads that reflect our Pennsylvania heritage. This is one version of a bead I make inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch redware. In this case, it is a black background and yellow glaze that is “scratched” to reveal a floral design. A Pennsylvania “Primitive.”

All metal on the bracelet is sterling silver and the swan clasp is handmade.

This bracelet should fit up to a 7-½" wrist.

Purple Ladies

I original made these beads thinking of the Red Hat group and was somewhat reluctant to combine the colors of purple and red. After I was finished, I was surprised to see how much I liked the combination.

All metal on this bracelet is sterling silver and the swan clasp is hand made.

The bracelet should fit up to an 7-½" wrist.

Spring Beauties

The little pink blossoms in the minty green background remind me of the spring beauties that blossom all over the hillside in our woods every spring. The pink spacers are some I picked up years ago just because I loved the creamy pinkness of them!
