Heart Dreams
Heart Dreams

Lancaster County, PA is an area rife with folk crafts. Redware pottery is just one of those crafts. When I discovered the use of enamels on glass, I found that I could reproduce the look of redware. The heart and bird patterns are common themes and represent, to me, the wish for love. (Click on the picture for a closer look.)

All glass beads are my own work. Copper findings are used to compliment the colors of this bracelet.

First Green Is Gold
First Green Is Gold

There is a poem that says, "Spring's first green is gold." I think of it every spring as the willows turn gold awaiting spring. These beads make me feel the same way - tendrils of growth - hopeful, ready to burst with the joy of spring. Apple green stone (jade?) rondel spacers complete the look. (Click on the picture for a closer look.)

All glass beads are my own lampwork, Vermeil bead caps and Magnetic clasp for easy on and off.

Triangulum Nebula
Triangulum Nebula

I thought this was just a set of "nebula beads," but then I started looking through pictures of nebulae. That's when I found out they are Triangulum Nebula beads! Blues and greens with lots of silver dots and trails. (Click on the picture for a closer look.)

All glass beads are my own lampwork, handmade "vortex" wire beads and s-clasp, patinaed to carry the mood of the piece.
